First Lady Jill Biden touted what she called the COVID vaccine’s “rigorous testing” this week as she urged American parents to get the shots for their young children.
The first lady used the power of celebrity influence as she was flanked by pop singer Ciara at the White House, and then by Washington Mystics’ star Alysha Clark and the Washington Wizards’ Thomas Bryant, at a pediatric vaccination clinic in the nation’s capital.
Biden, joined by Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, urged more parents to get their children vaccinated.
“Joe and our team have been working every day to give you what you need to keep your family safe in this pandemic,” she said, reported the Daily Mail. “And, parents, I’m so excited that now you have a new way to do just that. a vaccine for children, five and up.”
The first lady continued:
So, here’s what I want you to remember and share with other parents: the vaccine protects your children against COVID-19. It’s been thoroughly reviewed and rigorously tested. It’s safe. It’s free, and it’s available for every single child in this country, five and up. Parenthood and worrying go hand in hand, don’t they, and it’s just what parents do. We worry constantly about our kids, so I can’t promise you that the dangers of this world will become any less frightening. I mean, just wait until your kids start driving.
“Nothing, absolutely nothing, is more important than our children’s health,” Biden said. “And it’s up to us to keep them safe and with this vaccine we can.”
Education Secretary Miguel Cardona is also actively pushing COVID shots for children:
Many doctors, unafraid to speak out, nevertheless, are warning parents to consider the vaccine’s risks which, they say, far exceed the benefits.
The Truth for Health Foundation, led by President and CEO Elizabeth Lee Vliet, M.D., cautioned parents against rushing to get the shot for young children.
In a webinar that can be viewed at LifeSiteNews, Vliet and other physicians and health professionals presented the risks so that parents can make an informed decision.
During the public charity’s webinar, the doctors highlighted three main points:
1. Children are not at risk of disease or death from COVID-19.
“The only children at risk of serious illness or death are those who have obesity, diabetes, lung disease such as cystic fibrosis – serious medical conditions that make them already vulnerable – and for those children, there is treatment available,” Vliet emphasized.
2. Children are not the drivers of virus spread.
3. COVID-19 vaccines have known risks.
“There is no long-term safety testing and this is a genetic vaccine, not a traditional vaccine,” one slide from the webinar read. “Heart problems with COVID-19 vaccination in kids are well documented.”
Vliet noted, for example, a study that showed, for boys age 12-17, heart damage Adverse Events (AEs) occurred in 162 of one million, a rate that is six times higher than their risk of COVID-19 hospitalization.
After using the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and reviewing reports that were filed between January 1 and June 18, 2021, for adolescents aged 12-17 who received the mRNA COVID vaccine, lead author of the study Tracy Beth Hoeg at University of California – Davis and her colleagues concluded the rate of cardiac adverse events (CAE) after vaccination was highest in boys aged 12-15 after the second dose.
The researchers observed:
For boys 12-17 without medical comorbidities, the likelihood of post vaccination dose two CAE is 162.2 and 94.0/million respectively. This incidence exceeds their expected 120-day COVID-19 hospitalization rate at both moderate (August 21, 2021 rates) and high COVID-19 hospitalization incidence. Further research into the severity and long-term sequelae of post-vaccination CAE is warranted. Quantification of the benefits of the second vaccination dose and vaccination in addition to natural immunity in this demographic may be indicated to minimize harm.
An essential point for parents to consider was made only a couple of weeks ago during a comprehensive interview with Del Bigtree on the Highwire by cardiologist and chief medical advisor of the Truth for Health Foundation Peter McCullough, M.D.:
The chances of being hospitalized with myocarditis are far greater than taking your chances with COVID-19 and being hospitalized with COVID-19 because it’s such a mild syndrome in the young individuals. And don’t forget though, a large number of the children have already had COVID-19, right, so you can’t get it a second time. [emphasis added]
Children who have had COVID – and many who have experienced only cold-like symptoms – now have natural immunity, McCullough explained. Getting the shot is unnecessary and only opens them up to the possibility of developing myocarditis, he said.
“So, clearly [the Hoeg study] shows it’s a bad trade off,” he added. “We’d be much better off taking the respiratory infection than myocarditis.”
McCullough mentioned as well what he referred to as “one of the most reckless and reprehensible statements of all time … made by Dr. Rubin, and he’s the editor of the New England Journal of Medicine.”
“He made the statement that we’ll never really know about safety in children, unless we just go out and use the product,” he asserted. “And I think that will go down in bioethics history, right along with the statements that Nazi physicians made with, you know, Nazi research and came up in the Nuremberg trials with the Tuskegee experiment – this idea of taking brand new novel technology that we know does an install of the spike protein.”
Lumen-News reported FDA independent advisory panel member Dr. Eric Rubin commented, “We’re never gonna learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes.”
That statement is in stark contrast to Jill Biden’s boast of the vaccine’s “rigorous testing” this week.
McCullough’s entire interview with Bigtree is below and begins at 1:17:50:
The Truth for Health Foundation’s warnings about COVID shots for children come as a Fox News national poll released Thursday found only 58 percent of voters believe the COVID vaccines are safe and effective, down seven points from 65 percent, just two months ago in September.
“That 7-point shift comes from decreases across the political spectrum — down 7 points among both Democrats and independents and 5 points among Republicans,” Fox News reported.
Additionally, only 45 percent of those surveyed believe the vaccine is safe for children aged 5 to 11, with 38 percent believing it to be unsafe and 16 percent unsure.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who has held Senate committee hearings focused on early treatment for COVID disease and, more recently, panel discussions featuring families who have experienced COVID vaccine injuries and death in children, told Vliet during the webinar he invited Drs. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor, Janet Woodcock, acting FDA Commissioner, and Francis Collins, retiring National Institutes of Health director, to attend his panel on November 2, but “none of them showed up.”
There’s a number of realities that the people pushing mandates are not acknowledging, one is natural immunity. They’re not making any accommodation for those of us who’ve already had COVID, as the science tells us now is probably better than the vaccine immunity. They’re not acknowledging that the vaccine effectiveness is waning. We have a whole new variant. It doesn’t look like these vaccines are effective against it.
“And of course, they’re completely ignoring, they’re casting aside, the vaccine injured and that’s a real travesty,” the senator asserted.
Asked by Vliet his advice to parents who must make the decision about whether or not to have their young children vaccinated, Johnson had a lot to say:
Well, first of all, I respect people to have the intelligence to make an informed choice. And you know, before you subject yourself to any medical procedure, you have to ask yourself is it medically necessary and, quite honestly, maybe you ought to seek a second or third opinion. Right now, second, and third opinions are not allowed in COVID and that of the mass vaccination campaign. There is one narrative, there is one group of COVID gods: the health agency heads, the media, the social media, and no other opinions need apply.
So, what I would tell parents is, first of all, look at the science. We know that particularly very young children, they’re more in danger of the seasonal flu and, of course, we don’t force flu vaccines on young children, but they’re more likely to get very ill from the seasonal flu than they are from COVID. As you listen to other doctors, other medical researchers, it appears that children have an innate immunity to COVID.
But, let’s not screw that up with the vaccine, which is really based on last year’s COVID, last season’s COVID. We’ve got new variants that this vaccine does not appear to be particularly effective against, and vaccine injuries are real – 18,000 deaths worldwide reported on the VAERS system, over 850,000 adverse events. That, by the way, compares with about 78 deaths reported on VAERS for the seasonal flu vaccine – 78 versus over 18,000, and our health agencies are saying nothing to see here, full speed ahead, let’s throw caution to the wind.
“I would primarily advise parents, use your brain,” Johnson concluded. “Think this thing through and exercise some caution when it comes to your children.”
